My Cousin’s Wedding

I took the first flight home [that's about 5:15 A.M. for PAL so I have to leave for the airport at 3 A.M.] to attend my cousin’s wedding. So naturally, I was pretty much tired and not in the mood to attend a formal occasion when I arrived. But I didn’t have a choice. I said I’d come and be part of the offertory. Unwillingly, I readied myself to go to Lupit Church where the said occasion was going to be held. It was no surprise that I was late. The Mass had already started when I arrived. It was a humble wedding. Simple, but nice. It was your usual ceremony with the exception of some occurences [ehem] which shouldn’t come as a surprise if you knew our family. Throughout the Mass, I was uncomfortable, as expected. I don’t like wearing dresses and make-up. And I’m just not a morning person.
Next came the reception at The Sugarland Hotel. Oh, goody. Food! I don’t want to get into a detailed description of this, so I’m just gonna say that the couple kissed, danced, cried, said thanks, were given money [ampao!] and all those things that make up a wedding reception. Of course, there were lots of photo ops. I was [guiltily] thankful when the time came to go home. Finally. I could regain a few hours of sleep. As I just brushed through this event without much detail, here are pictures of the wedding which should clear some things up. ;-)

The Couple

That’s the couple. Vanessa Rhea [my cousin] and Llade Ray [her husband].

The Reception I

Those are pictures of the reception. Cute kids in barongs. ;-)

The Reception II

More picture-taking. Signing the whatever-you-call-that guestbook thing.
